With a Little Hope
Often, it is through
the most difficult days of our lives
that we come to know ourselves
and what is truly important to us.
No matter how sad you may feel at times,
be confident that hope will
awaken with you tomorrow.
Faith and courage reach out to you;
take hold of them, and you will find
that you will be able to smile again
and truly be happy once more.
How we deal with life
is really a matter of personal choice,
so choose to be happy.
Find joy in the simplest things,
and see beauty in each person you meet.
When times are difficult,
remind yourself that no pain
comes to you without a purpose.
Above all, trust in
God's handcrafted plan
that He has made just for you.
Let Him love you through life's
joyous and painful aspects;
if you do,
you will find inner peace
and unending joy.

My Dad
I called my dad’s this morning; just to say
hello
But I forgot he was long gone; my heart forgot
to know.
It was hard to breathe for a moment; he was my
friend
I wanted to sit and talk with him; once again
He’s up in Heaven now; went even before my
mother
I could look this wide world over and never find
another.
No-one was likened to him; he had his own sweet
charm
As we all lived a wonderful life together; on
the farm.
One day I'll be with him again; my mama too
I am so glad they are in Heaven together;
looking through.
He was my inspiration; he failed me never at all
But, we knew to answer him; when he gave us a
call.
Thinking on him takes me way back to childhood
The way he always tried to teach us kids to be
good.
It wasn't just his words I head; but the look in
his eye
Like if he looked ahead; he'd see something to
make him cry.
Not to worry dad; you'll never have a tear again
I know God loves you being there; a man among
men!
We’ll be together again in that soon coming day
I'll put my arms around you; then I think Jesus
will let me stay.

IF YOU LOOK FOR ME AT
CHRISTMAS
If you look for Me at Christmas,
You won't need a special star---
I'm no longer just in Bethlehem,
I'm right there where you are.
You may not be aware of Me
Amid the celebrations---
You'll have to look beyond the stores
And all the decorations.
But, if you take a moment
From your list of things to do
And listen to your heart, you'll find
I'm waiting there for you.
You're the one I want to be with.
You're the reason that I came
And you'll find Me in the stillness,
As I'm whispering your name.
Love,

I Dreamt I Stood at Calvary
I dreamt I stood at Calvary
And saw three crosses there;
On left and right were nailed two thieves
The cross between was bare.
The soldier took his sword in hand
Then pointed it at me,
He said, "You there, prepare to die
That cross is meant for thee."
I quickly fell upon my knees
For mercy did I cry,
As strong hands grabbed my hands and feet
I shouted, "Why, oh why?"
And then a voice both soft and sweet
Was heard above the din,
"Let this one go, take me instead
I'll pay his price for sin."
With His body torn and bleeding
And thorn marks round His head,
With bruises where they beat Him
He stepped into my stead.
Then Jesus laid upon the cross
His live did freely give,
That all my sins be washed away,
And through His death, I'd live.
He stretched His arms out open wide
No struggle did He make,
As they prepared to nail Him there
His life they meant to take.
They drove the spikes in His hands and feet
And slammed the cross in place,
His bones were shaken out of joint
And blood ran down His face.
"Forgive them, Father," was His cry
"They know not what they do,"
God must have wept when He realized
He sacrificed His only Son for YOU.
When I awoke, the night had passed,
And sunshine flooded in,
I cried, "Dear Lord, forgive me please
And cleanse me of my sin.
For You sent down Your only Son
A ransom for the lost,
And I see You included me
When counting out the cost."
Yes I dreamt I stood at Calvary
And saw those crosses three,
Yet no longer do I need to fear
Knowing Jesus died for me.
